Today's tape is from jazz singer Vivianne Cardinal, and it's a good pairing with the John Reid tape from the other day. And not just because both tapes feature the same bass player, although that's probably an indication that they're both mining the same style. This is the same swinging style, with good songs played well. Which is probably why this tape earned a nomination for best jazz record from the Alberta Recording Industry Awards in 1994.
