As usual, this year's Sled Island yielded a couple of new tapes for the CCPS collection, starting with this one from former Deadhorse/Devonian Gardens harpist Jennifer Crighton. Hermitess' tape (or CD or LP, depending on which media you chose) is built around Crighton's clear voice and harp, with synth drones and Eric Hamelin's drums creating a mesmerizing, hypnotic set of songs that lean more towards psychedelia than Celtic music.
