El Caminos - Ergo Drunken Sluts (1992)

El Caminos - Ergo Drunken Sluts

This marks the first Porn Star Records release on this blog. And the first appearance of Kamil Krulis, here in the guise of Bobby Torpedo.

The El Caminos were really, really hard to take live. Abrasive in a kind of Fall/Mark E. Smith way. We had forgotten they released a tape, until Steve Elaschuk passed it our way.

We had also forgotten how much bravado Bobby Torpedo could muster, until we found this 1994 article by James Muretich:

You might enjoy their cover of "Tainted Love."

But then again, you might not.

I gotta do something about that anonymous posting thing. Clarification: this is Kamil's first appearance on this blog. I'd love to get my hands on the Bad Housekeeping tape. Anyone?

The El Caminos were the hardest band to see live because they rarely showed up to a scheduled gig...

I got the bad housekeeping tape but I can't bear to part with it... Just yet
El Caminos were ok... Especially at Infest when they told everyone to get out of their fuckin tents haha.. They acted like primadonnas at an all ages show once and I realized their reckless abandon was a farce

Not his first appearance...he was in Arctic Power...a mere shadow of the Bad Housekeeping and El Caminos
