Tau Ceti - "And I Wonder" b/w "San Francisco" (1986)

Switching back to the 7" format, Tau Ceti's second release (we're not sure what happened to the full-length that was touted on their 12") is another two tracks of new wave-ish rock.

The youtubes have provided one of two videos Tau Ceti made, for the track "San Francisco" from this single:

I own a couple copies of the band's LP release "So Far" - I'm in the process of ripping it and cleaning it up, any interest in having a ripped copy of it to post?

Thanks for the offer, Paul! I've already got "So Far" on deck for next weekend, but I appreciate it all the same. You don't have a copy of Tau Ceti's unreleased, Rupert Hine-produced record by any chance?

Erhm, heh, to be honest, I didn't even know it existed. Intriguing, though!

Incidentally, I've got a vinyl copy of Qwest's Tampico Gold, are there any rips of the out of print CD reissue out there that you know of, or vinyl/CD rips of Dream Zone?

Afraid I'm out of the Qwest loop, Paul--but it's a slice of Calgary music history defnitely worth tracking down. I'll keep my eyes open.

"Tau Ceti's unreleased Rupert Hine Tape?" This must have been after I left the band. Rupert had called, but never did any mixing I knew about. I'd be interested in hearing it as well.

Wow--great to hear from both a Tau Ceti member and the Small Horse Big Apple mastermind! Thanks for writing!
Mr. Bezzeg: I'd love a copy of the Hine demo, if you can scare it up. (I heard about it while perusing the Library & Archives Canada catalogue; they seem to have scored a copy from somewhere.) And if you have any clips from your Cable 10 shows, I know a lot of people would be interested in seeing those. A lot of the traffic to this blog is from people searching for "FM Moving Pictures" or "Chrome-a-key Kids" footage.
Also: if anyone has a close-up photo of those iconic TC pins (the radiation logo), I'd love to post that as part of my Calgary ephemera series.

Best to both of you for '08!
